Blackfeet Manpower is known as a “Nit-Sit-Tah-Poh-Tahk-Kaaks” Working Friends One-Stop Center. Its mission is to provide education, training, case management, advocacy and support services to increase employability of those living within or near the boundaries of the Blackfeet Reservation.

Adult Education

Adult Education provides education, training, case management, advocacy, and supportive services to increase employability to those living within the Blackfeet Nation. The course is designed to prepare students to pass the HSE test and training to transition into further education, employment, and training opportunities.

Blackfeet Vocational Rehabilitation (BVR) Program

The Blackfeet Vocational Rehabilitation Program assists Blackfeet Tribal members with disabilities to secure a degree of self-sufficiency, which meets each individual’s personal requirements for health, well being, and quality of life.

While the program’s main focus is employment, the program recognizes that what represents a comfortable standard of living is not the same for everyone. The Blackfeet cultural values and beliefs differ from society at large in regards to self-sufficiency and independence.

Blackfeet Veterans Alliance

Blackfeet Veterans Alliance is here to help Veterans navigate the Veterans Health Administration, Veterans Benefits Administration, as well as assist families with the National Cemetery Administration. This will also include helping Veterans file claims with the aforementioned programs. This will include filing for any compensation benefits, insurance, pensions, and home loans.

Child Care Assistance

The Blackfeet 477 Child Care Assistance Program is designed to provide assistance to Low-Income families who are in need of Child Care assistance.  It is operated by a grant from the Department of Health and Human Services/Administration for Children and Families, Child Care Bureau.

General Assistance

The General Assistance program was created to help tribal members living on or near the reservation who do not have access to sufficient resources to meet their basic needs.

Employment

The mission of the Blackfeet Employment Program is to provide activities that increase employment through education, training, case management, advocacy, and support services.

Medicaid Eligibility

Medicaid provides health coverage to millions of Americans, including eligible low-income adults, children, pregnant women, elderly adults, and people with disabilities. Medicaid is administered by states, according to federal requirements. The program is funded jointly by their state and the federal government.

Quality Assurance Unit

The Quality assurance unit’s mission is to ensure that our Blackfeet Tribal TANF & General Assistance programs processes comply with state and federal regulations and requirements. We assess processes for compliance to standards and regulations as well as deter fraud.

State Work Activity Program

The State Work Activity Program provides Case Management services to all State TANF clients. We perform an enrollment Intake and negotiate a Family Futures Contract (Employability Plan) for all Adults. We make referrals to other programs for Family Stability activities to assist families in overcoming barriers that may prevent them from achieving stability, working and being financially secure.
